Kwenta is the primary trading frontend for Synthetix perpetuals, providing an advanced trading interface with portfolio analytics, copy trading, and sophisticated order types on top of Synthetix's underlying liquidity infrastructure. While Synthetix provides the collateral and liquidity rails, Kwenta provides the user experience layer.
Synthetix Integration
All perpetual positions on Kwenta settle through Synthetix Perps v3. Kwenta charges an additional 0.06% taker fee on top of Synthetix's base fee, which flows to the Kwenta DAO. This fee split is transparent — Kwenta's fee is the interface layer fee, Synthetix's fee compensates the liquidity providers (SNX stakers).
Advanced Order Types
Kwenta supports: - Market orders (immediate execution at oracle price) - Limit orders (triggered when price reaches a level) - Stop-loss and take-profit orders - Delayed orders (orders queued for next valid block price)
Advanced conditional orders are managed by keeper bots that execute orders when conditions are met, charging a small keeper fee.
Smart Margin and Subaccounts
Kwenta's "Smart Margin" system allows users to create subaccounts for different strategies within a single wallet. Each subaccount has isolated margin, enabling parallel strategies without cross-contamination. This is useful for running simultaneous directional and hedging strategies.
KWENTA Token
KWENTA governance token manages protocol parameters, trading rewards, and DAO treasury. Trading activity generates KWENTA inflationary rewards (staking emissions) alongside real USDC fee yield from the 0.06% frontend fee. KWENTA stakers can boost their trading rewards up to 2×.
